My husband and I were getting our Atlanta location ready to be licensed and it was an exciting time. However, the years before this location was filled with hard times and those hard times prepared us for the expansion in Atlanta.
I know first-hand that owning a childcare business can be tough at times and today I am going to share what has been the hardest part for me. Ready or not, here it comes:
- When I became a home provider, the hardest part for me what dealing with complaining parents
- Also, as a home provider, having a business in my home was hard for me, I felt like I was always at work
- As a center owner, I initially struggles with learning how to select staff that was write for my center
- In my first center, I struggled with managing a team and as a result of my lack of leadership, I had a high turnover.
- As a multi-site owner, the hardest part was living 500 miles away from the center and trying to communicate my vision via zoom meeting and phone calls.
