The Enrollment Packet

enrollment packet

I strongly believe that your enrollment packet is the icing on the cake when it comes to parents making a decision to choose your Child Care program. In fact, your enrollment packet can make or break the sale!

Over 10 years ago I decided to buy 2-pocket folders to create my enrollment packets.

In fact, I chose 2-pocket folders  because its an organized way for parents to  keep all of their enrollment forms in one place!

Also when you look at 2-pocket folders, what do you think about? If you were thinking School……That’s exactly what I want parents to think about when they see my enrollment packet!

When you think of School, you also think of Learning and that is the message that I want to send to parents about my program. My Child Care program is very educational and that’s the message I intend to send to parents…upfront!

Furthermore, as you create your enrollment packets, think about the message you want to send to parents about your Child Care Program.

There is no cookie cutter way to prepare enrollment packets, however, I simply want to inspire you to prepare your enrollment packets with a message in mind.

What to Include in your enrollment packet:

  • Enrollment forms
  • Medical forms
  • Parent contract
  • Program Brochure
  • Curriculum Information
  • Preschool Supply List (keep it simple)
  • Trial Day Form
  • Insert your Business Card on the Front of the 2-pocket folder or a large envelope

When should You Issue Enrollment Packets ?

When parents stop by my facility, I give them a tour and at the end of the tour I offer a trial day. If they sign-up for a trial day, I give the parent a copy of my Curriculum Information, a Brochure and my Business card. After the trial day, if the family is still interested in enrolling their child and they pay the registration fee; I give the family my entire enrollment packet.

**Being selective over who receives your enrollment packet is a great way to cut your marketing cost.

Creating a Vision Board For Your Child Care Business

vision

It is a terrible thing to see and have no vision. ~Helen Keller

*This week’s Blog post is an excerpt from Day 6 of the 21-Day Mastermind e-Club! Enjoy….

What do you see for your child care business in 2016? I started this week’s blog post with that question simply because… what you see for your business….is what you get!

This week,  I want to encourage you to become a visionary Child Care Business Owner. This includes: keeping your vision before you and by staying focused on your vision for your business.

Have you ever heard the word visionary? If so, keep this in mind; A visionary does little and talks much. However, a person with vision talks little and does much. So let’s get busy!

What is your vision for your business? Well, write it down and post it where you can see it. Do you have a vision board? If not, today is a great day to get started!

Check out the sample vision boards that are below for ideas!

Whatever your vision is for your business, I suggest that you go out and buy a poster board, get some magazines and get a clear picture of where you want your business to go.

After all, what you see..is what you get!  Check out the resource links below and Listen to the audio lesson (from the 21-Day Master mind eClub) about how my vision came to pass:
