7 Steps To Planning For a Successful 2018

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail…

I can hardly believe that 2017 is almost over!

I don’t know about you, but this has been an amazing Business year for me and I’m already planning for 2018.

Furthermore, as I wrap up the Business year, I must say that if you plan each business week very carefully and get focused; you can accomplish just about anything.

However, as I write this blog post, we are less than 90 days away from a brand new Business year and today I want to inspire you to take some time to reflect.

Most of all, I want to inspire you to plan ahead. As you can see, time goes by very fast and if you want to have a successful year, you must plan for it!

Here are 7  Steps to Planning for a Fun and Successful 2018:

1. Take a moment to reflect on the highlights of your year. Did you celebrate your successes? If not, it’s not too late to celebrate.

2. Did you have any challenges? If so, how did you overcome the challenges? Did you get coaching or seek counsel? What do you plan to do differently next year?

3. Create a plan for 2018. Plan your events with excellence and market your events to your parents.  Do you have a calendar of events that you issue to parents? If not, this is a good time to create one. Issuing a calendar of events for the upcoming year, is a great way to create momentum and get your parents excited about your program. I have attached a copy of my Program Calendar for you to review or to use as a template.

4. Develop a marketing plan for 2018 that includes a social media marketing plan.  Facebook is a very popular social media platform . In fact, according to Facebook newsroom; there are over one billion people on Facebook. Furthermore, I want to inspire you to consider Facebook ads. Facebook ads are as low as $5 and you set the marketing budget.

5. Buy a new Business Book to read. New information will empower you to build a Successful business.

6. Thinking about Expanding ? Don’t think anymore, this is the time to start planning. Check out my Child Care Business Expansion guide.

Be Consistent With Your Online Marketing

marketing

I believe that we must be consistent when it comes to marketing a Business. In fact, what you do consistently, will bring you consistent results!

Have you ever stopped by a local business and then they asked you to like their Facebook?

Then when you checked out their Facebook page or any of their social medial sites; you found that they had not posted on their pages in a while.

Moreover, I believe that inconsistent marketing is an indicator that the Business does not have a strategic marketing plan. Most of all, if you fail to market consistently, you will lose your online followers.

Today I want to share with you, 5 easy ways to consistently Market your Child Care Business Online:

  1. Develop a plan for what your Facebook post will be for each day of the week. For example: only Monday, I consistently post the following status: We are looking forward to another week full of fun and learning! Then I share a link to my website: http://www.learningdays.com
  2.   On your Business Facebook page, there is an option to schedule post. You can also use a Free app called, Hootsuite to link all your social media sites and schedule post.
  3. Be sure to consistently post photos of the children engaged in activities every day. This is a great way to keep  parents coming back to your Facebook page. Also, your Facebook post with the highest views, are great to use for Facebook ads. A Facebook ad could increase your page views and it may only cost you up to $10. Bonus Tip: Be sure to use hash tags in your post. For example: #nowenrolling #preschool #infantcare #Yourschoolname
  4. Check your Facebook messages daily. I find that parents will message you over facebook, before they call you. So be prepared to share pricing information via a facebook message or simply invite the parents to call you to schedule a tour if you prefer not to interact via facebook  messages.
  5. Post upcoming events on your Facebook (at least once a week); for those parents that forget to read your newsletters. Furthermore, if a parent likes your event on facebook or  joins your Event, other parents will see their activity on facebook.

I know this marketing plan may seem like a lot at first, however, if you take 5-10 minutes a day to work the marketing plan above, I am very certain that you will see results!!
