As a Former Home provider (1998-2002) I was spoiled by the high demand of my home daycare and did not need to market my family home child Care business very much, because the parents told their family and friends about me.
As a result of my lack of marketing experience; when I was ready to expand, I took that mindset into my center and it almost killed my business.
In fact, my lack of marketing skills back in 2002 led to low enrollment in my new Child Care Center. Moreover, my enrollment did not increase until I got off my butt and went where the parents were!
