Inspirational and Empowering Child Care Business Owners To Build Successful Child Care Businesses

I have been busy hiring new staff for the summer and even doing some retraining of current staff. As we orientate ne staff, I want the new staff to excellence, because what your new staff see upon hiring is what they beleive the company expects.

I expect excellence from my team and nothing less, because kids deserve excellence. Most of all, I strongly believe that Success proceeds Excellence. Let me explain how travel inspires my drive for excellence.

When my husband and we choose hotels or resorts that are known for excellence. In fact, I have found that when a hotel has a spirit of excellence, you can expect excellence service. Moreover, you can even see excellence in their hotel rooms.

Whenever I have experienced excellence, I am inspired to give the families that choose my childcare center, excellence. I believe excellence is paying attention to details and exceeding the standards.

Google describes excellence as: “An inward attitude of constantly striving for exceptional quality, integrity, and diligence in everything you do. It goes beyond just completing a task; it is the mindset of doing your absolute best—even when no one is watching. This mindset manifests across several key pillars:Attention to Detail: Meticulously caring for the small things, ensuring that every piece of work is accurate, organized, and properly finished. “

Look around your Daycare. Do you see excellence in your childcare business? If so, keep up the good work. If you believe that you have work to do, please don’t try to tackle everything at once. Excellence takes time. So, create an excellence plan, involve your team and stay consistent.

I want to challenge you to take a leadership walk throuh your child care business and assess the following:

  1. Are your walls Clean ?
  2. Are your classrooms Organized?
  3. Is there broken equipment or items in your facility?
  4. Do you see spider webs or excessive dust anywhere?
  5. Is the kitchen clean and organized?
  6. Are the restrooms clean?
  7. Does your playground need attention?
  8. Is it time to upgrade materials or equipment?
  9. Are your policies outdated?
    .

What did you discover? Did you see excellence? I think you get the picture. Excellence is paying attention to the little things and making it better! Be sure to tell me how this blog post inspired you.
