Inspirational and Empowering Child Care Business Owners To Build Successful Child Care Businesses

I am writing a new book, and my new book is being written with your success in mind!

In fact, I have learned that if I wanted to see success in my childcare business, I needed to develop some successful habits and I write all about those success habits in my new book, Child Care Business Success Guide habits.

My new book will be available in January 2025 and if you would like more information about my new book, click here.

I read an article years ago that mentioned how much playing Chess is like running a business. After playing my first game of chess on thanksiving day,I can honestly say that playing chess is truly like operating a business.

In fact, that game reminded me of how much focus it takes to run a business and the importance of thinking about every business move before you make it.

Running a Child Care Business can be like a chess board sometimes;

  • You gotta put the right people in the right places
  • If you don’t make a decision, you will be stuck
  • when you make a decision, you gotta know how that move or decision will affect the business.

Here are 5 more takeaways that I got from my 1st Game of Chess:

  1. Get you a coach who knows how to play the game. My step Dad is skilled at Chess, and he taught me well. He guided me through my moves.
  2. Focus! If you’re not focused, you’ll make the wrong moves.
  3. Think about your move before you make it and why you made and think about what happens if you make a move.
  4. Play the center of the boad and know the role of each ame piece. Don’t try to be a jack of all trades!
  5. The queen is the most powerful piece! That reminded me of the power of a woman in business.

I hope that this post has inspired you to play Chess and be mindful of your business moves.
