Is It Your Dream to Go Bigger?

On November 28, 2014, I moved out of my first childcare center. When I look at the photo in this blog post, I see a woman that was excited to go to the next level. That building was my 1st childcare location and I had lots of good times in the building. Also, I had lots of moments that I care not to share in this blog post. Most important, before I moved out of that location, I was getting prepared before the opportunity presented itself.

When the opportunity to go bigger presented itself, I almost talked myself out of going bigger, because I had a fear of having more employees and so much more. Furthermore, I was determined to not let that opportunity to go bigger pass me by. So, I did it afraid!

Do you have a Dream to go bigger? If so, what is stopping you? Today I am going to share with you, 7 ways to get prepared before you go bigger.

  1. Connect with someone that has done what you desire to do.
  2. Develop the Leader within you.
  3. Write down your vision for your business and believe that it will manifest.
  4. Stay focused. You can do anything with a focused mind.
  5. Get a coach or a mentor. It will save you so much time and frustration with the right coach.
  6. Start Looking for a building and stay in expectation mode. Only what you expect will show up for you.
  7. When the opportunity presents itself, keep quiet and only tell your close friends and family. Announcing your opportunity, before you secure the deal is a sure way to kill the deal. Announce it when you get the keys!

Does Your Start-up Budget Scare you?

IMG_20190829_071536_481I logged onto Facebook this morning and I clicked on the memories link and there was my Start-up budget from my Dream Location.

As I looked at the budget, I thought about how scary it was (back in 2014) to consider opening up a location with a start-up budget of 10,000.

In fact, I can remember laying in my bed during the start-up process  worried about where the money was going to come from.

Furthermore, I was considering expanding at a time when the business was already not doing to good.

Five year later, I can honestly say this, that was one of the best business decision that I could have ever made. “Never consult your bank account when it is time to grow, Consult your Faith.”

Taking a look back. My home daycare start-up budget was only $600 and that was back in 1998 and it took just as much Faith back then to leave a job with great benefits to start my own business.

As you can see, it doesn’t matter how much it cost to get starter, the real question is, Do you have the Faith to believe that you can do it?
